Meet My Family
Jackie, my wife of 23 years, and I, along with our son Joseph, have been active in the St. Anthony community for over 19 years. I coached basketball for several seasons with St. Anthony Sports Boosters and Jackie has volunteered with the Cub and Scout Troop 153. Joseph attended preschool at St. Anthony Community Services, Wilshire Park Elementary School, and St. Anthony Middle School. He graduated from St. Anthony Village High School in 2023 and is currently attending South Dakota State University.
My Journey as Your City Council Member
I was appointed to our City Council in December 2017 and am honored to serve our community of St. Anthony alongside Mayor Randy Stille, as well as Council members Bernard Walker, Wendy Webster, and Jan Jenson.
As your City Council member, I will continue to maintain your trust, listen to your ideas and seek feedback from residents on ways we can enhance our City’s services, and respond to the needs of our community.
Why I Serve
In addition to serving on City Council, I have coached youth basketball teams with St. Anthony Sports Boosters and recognize that teamwork is necessary for success. I believe leaders come in all shapes and sizes, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds.
To effectively serve our community, I believe you must set personal agendas aside and focus in a nonpartisan way on what’s best for St. Anthony. For example, public safety has been an ongoing priority for me based upon the feedback that I receive from residents and what I have witnessed within our city and surrounding cities. I fully support our police and fire departments to keep our community safe and vibrant.
Committees
As your City Council member, I serve on the St. Anthony Sister City Committee, St. Anthony Family Services Collaborative, and Metro Cities (the Association of Metropolitan Municipalities), which represents cities in the seven-county metro area. I also serve as the liaison to the St. Anthony Parks Commission.
